School Projects

Birdville High PTSA is excited to announce the funding of the following School Projects for the 2009-2010 school year. BHS Faculty/Staff submitted grant requests to the School Projects Committee. Grants are awarded based on aligning with the PTSA mission, number of students served, and long term benefit. The following School Projects Grants were approved by the PTSA membership at the September 14 general association meeting:

Art tables:                                                                 $2,000.00
Dr. C's Social Studies simulation:                                  $350.00
Math Department-replace/repair calculators:               $2,000.00
Project Celebration-tubs/extension cords:                      $800.00
UIL Academics-one meet:                                          $1,000.00
Green Teens:                                                            $1,000.00
Digital marquee boards:                                             $4,036.39
Totaling:                                                                  $11,136.39

Special thanks to the 08-09 BHS PTSA Executive Board and all our members for the ability to have this amount to award.
Digital Marquee Boards
The BHS PTSA is currently working on securing sponsorships for the purchase of two digital marquee boards for the monument sign at the front entrance. These new digital boards will have a major impact on the number of announcements that can be displayed on a daily basis including upcoming BHS events and student recognitions. Families and the entire BHS community will benefit from the increase in another line of communication and celebration of everything that is Hawk Pride.

$10,000.00+: Gold Level (all of the above and special recognition)
